Abstract

Health communication through digital media is increasingly recognized as a critical aspect of healthcare practice. However, the subjective experiences of healthcare professionals and patients in digital interactions are underexplored. This research addresses this gap by examining the lived experiences of medical practitioners and patients using digital communication platforms, such as telemedicine and messaging apps. Adopting a phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews and thematic analysis were used to uncover key themes related to trust, empathy, and the perceived quality of care. The findings highlight the profound emotional, social, and professional impacts of digital communication in healthcare, offering insights into the human side of technology adoption. These results contribute to advancing digital health communication and improving patient-practitioner relationships in digital contexts.
