Enhancing Social Resilience Through Religious Education: A Subjective Perspective of Urban Communities Context

Abstract
Religious education plays a crucial role in fostering personal development and social cohesion, particularly within urban communities facing challenges such as individualism and social fragmentation. This study focuses on [number of participants] participants from [specific urban community or city], providing a clearer context for understanding the impact of religious education. Despite extensive research on its structural outcomes, the subjective experiences of participants in religious education programs remain underexplored. This study addresses this gap by employing a phenomenological approach to examine how participants internalize and derive meaning from their involvement in such programs. Using in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the study reveals that religious education facilitates profound personal transformation, enhances empathy, and fosters communal resilience. Participants reported increased spiritual awareness, stronger interpersonal connections, and active collaboration in community projects. These findings highlight the critical role of religious education in addressing social disconnection and promoting cohesive urban communities. Furthermore, the study contributes to practical applications by offering insights for policymakers and educators to design religious education programs that strengthen social cohesion, mitigate urban fragmentation, and promote collaborative community development. The study also provides a framework for future research exploring its impact across diverse settings.
